A Novel Local Anesthetic Option for Dental Procedures
Endura-KT is a compounded local anesthetic formulation developed for dental practitioners seeking a non-opioid approach to procedural anesthesia and extended post-procedural patient comfort.
The formulation incorporates specific concentrations of tetracaine, lidocaine, and epinephrine identified during product development and intended to support procedural anesthesia and post-procedural patient management.
While tetracaine may be less familiar to some dental practitioners, it has been utilized in a variety of medical and dental applications. Tetracaine is a component of several marketed anesthetic products and formulations used in procedural settings.
Many clinicians report that Endura-KT supports an anesthesia experience characterized by the return of normal sensation in the lips, tongue, and facial tissues while maintaining comfort at the treatment site following procedures.
Endura-KT may be incorporated into a clinician’s overall multimodal pain management strategy based on individual patient needs and practitioner judgment.
Endura-KT combines
- 0.2% tetracaine
- 0.4% lidocaine
- 1:250,000 epinephrine
These pharmaceutical ingredients have a long history of use in dental and medical practice.
Why do clinicians consider
Clinicians utilizing Endura-KT have reported:
- Rapid onset following administration

- Administration using familiar dental local anesthetic techniques, including infiltration and block anesthesia
- Flexibility to administer before, during, or after a procedure based on clinical judgment
- Use as a primary anesthetic or as an adjunct to existing anesthetic protocols
- Use in conjunction with other local anesthetics when deemed appropriate by the treating practitioner
- Interest from patients seeking non-opioid approaches to post-procedural comfort
- Integration into multimodal pain management protocols focused on minimizing opioid exposure
- A more comfortable injection experience, with little to no burning or stinging reported, which may be related to its pH range of 6.0-6.7

Testimonials
All 3 patients (and the 20 year old's parents) stated that they were soooo happy that I used EnduraKT on them. The parents of the 20 year old said that they were most fearful of the meds needed following the procedure versus the procedure itself.
